My Story
Hi, I'm Muhammed, but everyone calls me Mali.
Ever since I can remember, I have been obsessed with computers and everything technological. At the age of 7, I bent my 1st CPU pins, at age 8, I managed to build my very own PC. My 1st OS was Windows 98, I was mesmerised by it, the thrill I got from dragging a mouse across a desk and watching its effects on a screen. Little did 8 year old me know that this would turn into a lifetime obsession. I was always researching, whether it was reading through user manuals or simply asking those around me how the individual components work in a PC, and how it all comes together to allow you to control the outcome on the monitor.
As I grew older, this obsession persisted, I would save all of my money to buy newer and better PC parts to upgrade my PC. Up to this point, I was simply playing the latest games and drawing nonsensical images on MS Paint. It wasn't until Windows 2000 when I started installing and trying to learn other software. My favourite program was Adobe Photoshop 5. I would take pictures of cars using our family's 1st digital camera and using my CF card and reader I would put these images onto photoshop and try to join two vehicles together or change the colour of the cars. Unfortunately, the outcomes were on par with that of my paint images. By the time Windows XP, Vista, 7 had been released, my skills had improved, and with the release of the internet, it became much easier for me to acquire new skills.
I have always wanted to study computer programming, to understand the back- end of what we see on our screens each day, and I am proud to say that I have taken the leap, and I am now studying a Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp. I love every second of it. But just as young Mali did not stop after learning a few things about a PC or in photoshop, I look forward to expanding my skills set and learning new languages.
