After successfully launching the website for Stellarmed, they approached me with a new challenge. They were constructing a theatre within their clinic and required a solution for controlling the lights and monitoring temperature and humidity. We decided to use a Raspberry Pi as the solution for this task.
I built a control interface using NodeJS and web sockets, which allowed for control of the Pi’s GPIO. We also added a feature allowing for all lights to be turned on or off, with buttons for equipment power. Additionally, rules were set for the air conditioning unit to turn on if the temperature fell below a certain level.
The control panel for this setup was designed to be used with a 7” touch screen display. Overall, this project was a success and provided a cost-effective solution for controlling the theatre’s environment.
