A spa located in the Stellarmed Medical Suites had a unique goal during its construction – to be as energy efficient as possible. As part of this initiative, the owners chose to install low-powered LED lights to help reduce their energy consumption.
When the Stellarmed control panel was completed, I was tasked with creating a panel to control the lights in the spa. My goal was to create a user-friendly interface that would allow staff to manage the lights with ease. I decided to create a touchscreen web application that could be accessed from anywhere. This application not only allowed the staff to control the lights, but also gave them the ability to power off all lights at the end of the day with just one click.
To further enhance the functionality of the webapp, I made it installable as a PWA (Progressive Web App). This allows the staff to access the control panel from their mobile devices or desktops, without having to download a separate app. With this PWA, the spa has become more efficient and environmentally friendly, without sacrificing its aesthetic appeal or quality of service.
